Sunway Construction wins RM508mil India highway job


Sunway Construction Group managing director Chung Soo Kiong(pic) said this is the first overseas project won by the group for this year, adding that this is part of its plan for geographical diversification in Asean region and India.

KUALA LUMPUR: Sunway Construction Bhd has clinched a highway project worth RM508mil from the National Highways Authority of India in Tamil Nadu via a consortium formed by its subsidiary Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd and RNS Infrastructure Ltd.

In a press release issued yesterday, the group said the project comprises developing a new road and widening existing road to four lanes on a 36.75km highway stretch in India.
