Trading ideas: Sunway, IOI, Pos Malaysia, Velesto, Barakah


KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks to watch for on Thursday include Sunway, Perdana Petroleum, UMW, DNex, IOI, Pos Malaysia, Velesto, Barakah, Seacera and Multi Sports.

According to JF Apex research, Sunway, Perdana Petroleum and UMW showed improved quarterly results while DNex and IOI experienced earnings declines.

Meanwhile this earnings season, Pos Malaysia and Velesto were seen falling into the red.

Barakah's subsidiary Kota Laksamana 101 Ltd defaulted on its intalment payments while Seacera has been served with a letter of demand for payment on its own loan.

For this morning's technical outlook, JF Apex forecasts a slide on the FBM KLCI to the support at 1,565, tracking the bearish performance in the US and Europe. 

Overnight in US markets, technology counters leds a decline following the escalation of the US-China trade war. EUropean stocks were also in the red as their tech counters were dragged into the conflict.
