Malakoff plant unaffected by fire


RAM Ratings said Malakoff has demonstrated its financial support for Tanjung Bin Energy via six-monthly equity injections

KUALA LUMPUR: Malakoff Corp Bhd’s Tanjung Bin energy power plant was unaffected although a fire had occurred yesterday morning which involved the conveyor belt carrying coal.

Malakoff said the fire occurred at 6am and it was an isolated incident. It did not affect the 1,000MW power plant itself.
