KPS Consortium Q4 net profit falls to RM1.96m


Its job scope for the contract involves supplying concrete cement and metal for the upgrading of the Train Cargo Terminal at Padang Besar, Perlis, Dolphin said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

KUALA LUMPUR: KPS Consortium Bhd's net profit for the fourth quarter ended Dec 31 came in at RM1.96mil as compared to RM4.59mil in the year-ago quarter.

Revenue for the quarter was RM183.93mil, which was slightly under RM184.112mil posted in the comparative quarter.

The group said in a stock exchange filing that its paper milling, building materials and general trading divisions all contributed higher revenue for 4QFY18 while the paper converting division posted weaker revenue.

For the full year ended Dec 31, 2018, net earnings came in at RM10.47mil versus RM11.7mil in the previous financial year while revenue was improved to RM775.74mil from RM616.97mil.

Earnings per share for FY18 slipped to 7.08 sen from 7.92 sen previously.

At 12.30pm, KPS Consortium was 0.5 sen or 1% lower at 51 sen per share with 191,000 units traded.
