Boon Siew aims to sell 3,500 units Dash 125 a month

PETALING JAYA: Boon Siew Honda Sdn Bhd targets to sell 3,500 units of its newly-launched Dash 125cc motorbike a month.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Keiichi Yasuda said the optimism was based on the strong demand in the cub segment currently.

“Over the years, the higher cylinder capacity (cc) cub market has grown increasingly competitive and challenging due to greater customer demand,” he told reporters after the launch of the new motorcycle model here, today.

Yasuda said the company also expected this model to contribute 25 per cent to the company’s overall sales this year.

“The new Dash 125 features several value-added upgrades from its previous model and comes with a two-year or 20,000 km manufacturing warranty to ensure customers enjoy high-quality convenience and service.

“We are offering a reasonable price range of between RM5,999 and RM6,499 per unit,” he added.

Asked on the company’s market share, Yasuda said it was projecting about two to three per cent increase from 25 per cent currently, driven by a few more new and facelift models to be launched this year. - Bernama
