KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia Bhd's first quarter earnings ended March 31, 2018, rose 12.6% to RM63.78mil as it posted record-high quarterly operating revenue of RM144.8mil.
The stock exchanged said total revenue for the quarter rose 5.6% to RM150.71mil versus RM142.69mil in the year-ago quarter due mainly to higher revenue contribution from the securities market, which grew 13.5% to RM76.3mil.
Average daily trading value for the securities market’s on-market trades grew a further 14.2% to RM2.7bil in the first three months of 2018.
