Siem Offshore to be Daya’s largest shareholder


Petronas received an official request for a hike in charter rates from OSV operators who claimed that the rates have not been adjusted since oil prices averaged US$30 to US$35 in 2015.

PETALING JAYA: Norway’s Siem Offshore will emerge as the largest shareholder of Daya Material Bhd with more than a 20% stake if the latter can undertake the successful implementation of a regularisation plan.

The company, which serves the global oil and gas industry, said its subsidiary had outstanding receivables due from Daya totalling US$29.5mil.
