KUALA LUMPUR: Berjaya Sports Toto Bhd
says “rampant” illegal gambling is a challenge for the company, even as it posted a 23% jump in net profit to RM59.2mil in the third quarter ended Jan 31.
The higher earnings was boosted by a turnaround at London-based luxury car dealer H.R. Owen Plc and lower prize payouts by core subsidiary Sports Toto, the company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.
