Labuan IBFC’s marketing arm names new CEO


Labuan IBFC Incorporated Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Farah Jaafar-Crossby.

KUALA LUMPUR: Labuan International Business and Financial Centre Inc Sdn Bhd (Labuan IBFC Inc), the promotion and marketing agency for Labuan International Business and Financial Centre, has appointed Farah Jaafar-Crossby (pic) as chief executive officer.
 
Labuan IBFC Inc said in a statement that Farah, who currently heads the marketing intelligence and strategic communications unit, would take on the role on Jan 1, 2018.

This law graduate from University of Sheffield was previously general manager of the Association of Stock Broking Companies Malaysia, and had worked with the Bursa Malaysia as well as the Asian Institute of Finance.
 
Datuk Azlan Mohd Hashim, chairman of Labuan IBFC Inc, said she brought with her years of experience in financial services from both the onshore and offshore perspectives.

“Farah brings unique perspectives in her ability to translate vision and strategy into execution. This, combined with her deep industry knowledge in both financial services and marketing, makes her the natural choice to lead Labuan IBFC Inc,” he added.
 
Meanwhile, Farah said she looked forward to working together with all stakeholders in “better articulating Labuan IBFC’s unique value propositions as we work together to enhance Labuan IBFC’s global and domestic profile.”
