Nova MSC group gets RM78mil job at Changi water reclamation plant

KUALA LUMPUR: Nova MSC Bhd’s 51%-owned subsidiary, CNA Development Pte Ltd (CNAD), has secured the tender to replace the supervisory control and data acquisition (Scada) and instrumentation systems at Singapore’s Changi Water Reclamation Plant.

The S$25.62mil (RM78.36mil) contract also involves providing 36 months of comprehensive maintenance from Dec 1, 2017, to Nov 30, 2023, the automation and information technology solutions provider  said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

Nova MSC said CNAD did not expect any material risk arising from the contract other than the normal operational risk associated with it.

The contract is expected to contribute positively to the result of the group for the financial year ending March 31, 2018.

This is the second contract from Singapore clinched by the Nova group in less than a month.

On Oct 27, its wholly-owned subsidiary novaCITYNETS Pte Ltd won the tender from Building and Construction Authority in Singapore to revamp and install a Construction And Real Estate Network System 2.0 (CORENET 2.0) with maintenance and other options from Oct 27, 2017, to Oct 26, 2023.
