Cost-cutting days for MAS are over, says Bellew

KUALA LUMPUR: The future of Malaysia Airlines Bhd (MAS) is about adding revenue and not about cutting cost, according to its outgoing group chief executive officer Peter Bellew.

“The cost is at a good place and I don’t think there is much more cost to be cut. I think it is now all about adding 3% to 6% of revenue. We have installed a new reservation system in June which is working very well and it will give the company a better ability to sell seats around the world.
