MPay rises in morning trade


KUALA LUMPUR: Managepay Systems Bhd (MPay) opened 1.5 sen or 6% higher to 26.5 sen on Tuesday on news that its joint venture unit, MPay Mobile Sdn Bhd, has received a licence from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission to carry out application services.

The ASP Licence is valid from Oct 11, 2017, for a period of one year, and is renewable annually.

The licence allows MPay Mobile, a mobile vitural network operation (MVNO) to support a wide spectrum of services including GSM, GPRS, 3G and 3.5G as well as the latest high-speed broadband 4G network.

According to MPay, Mpay Mobile intends to launch its MVNO mobile package by year end, equipped with secure Fintech solution to provide MPay eMoney banking account access and MPay Mastercard Prepaid Car payment capability to customers through their handsets.
