MAHB’s 3.5% stake crosses off-market


The international ratings agency said the change in outlook was because of the heightened operating challenges for MAHB

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airport Holdings Bhd (MAHB) saw 58.07 million of its shares, representing about 3.5% stake crossed off market on Wednesday for a total of RM476.18mil. 

The shares were transacted at RM8.20 apiece at a discount of up to 3.75% to Tuesday’s closing price of RM8.52. 

Khazanah Nasional, which owns about 36.71% stake in MAHB, is believed to have sold the 58.07 million shares in a placement deal.

At 2.35pm, MAHB shares fell 28 sen, or 3.29% to RM8.24. Year-to-date, MAHB has appreciated 36.14%. It trades at 150 times trailing 12-month earnings per share and 56 its estimates for the coming year.
