Boustead income falls 74%

PETALING JAYA: Boustead Holdings Bhd recorded a 74% drop in net profit to RM59.3mil for the second quarter ended June 30, compared to the previous corresponding period.

According to a Bursa Malaysia filing, this was due to the absence of the gains realised in the corresponding period last year, namely the RM209.5mil divestment of the group’s associate company Jendela Hikmat, as well as the disposal of a piece of plantation land amounting to RM124.2mil.
