Nestle posts higher Q2 revenue

Good growth: Hofbauer says the group’s marketing and trade activities during Hari Raya enabled the group to achieve good growth.

PETALING JAYA: Nestle (M) Bhd posted improved revenue in the second quarter ended June 30, boosted by strong demand during the Ramadan and Hari Raya period, as well as higher exports sales.

But net profit was lower at RM162.1mil compared with RM188.8mil made a year ago due to the weaker ringgit that resulted in more expensive import cost for the food and beverage maker.
