HSS Engineers gets SC nod for transfer to Main Market

HSS Engineers Bhd co-founder and executive director Datuk Ir. Kuna Sittampalam speaking to reporters after the prospectus launch.

KUALA LUMPUR: HSS Engineers Bhd is set to transfer its listing to the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd after receiving the green-light from the Securities Commission on Monday.

In a statement, executive director Datuk Seri Kuna Sittampalam said after just a year since its listing on the Ace Market, the transfer of the listing to the Main Market would provide a more accurate reflection of the company’s track record and growing project portfolio.

“With the current boom in the construction industry, we expect many big infrastructure projects to be rolled out within the next few years by the Government and the private sector, which augurs well for us,” he said.

He said HSS’ recent contract wins showed not only the rapid pace of growth of the construction industry, but also the group’s capabilities in undertaking varied complexities in projects.

“The Main Market status would certainly boost our profile in the eyes of potential clients  and broaden the reach to the larger investing community,” he said. - Bernama
