Mlabs collaborates on free Wi-Fi in Chatuchak Market


KUALA LUMPUR: MLABS Systems Bhd's unit Multimedia Research Lab (MRL) has teamed up with Bangkok-based Onliner Company Ltd to provide IT technology and support to the free Wi-Fi and e-commerce project in Chatuchak Market. 

MRL is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mlabs and is in the business of research and development as well as assembly and trading in multimedia video conferencing systems, and provision of mobile application solutions.

MRL will contribute up to RM800,000 in IT technology to the Chatuchak Market free Wi-Fi project, which Onliner holds a concession to set-up and operate.

Expected revenue streams for the project will come from, inter alia, video advertising, multiple gateway advertising and e-commerce services.
