PETALING JAYA: Construction outfit Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd has received a contract valued at RM45.95mil from China Communi-cations Construction Co (M) Sdn Bhd to build a perimeter bund for phase 2B of the Seri Tanjung Pinang 2 project located in Penang.
The company said in a stock exchange filing that the contract was won by 70%-owned subsidiary, Future Rock Sdn Bhd, and expects to complete the works to be completed within 10 months from the date of commencement.
This would be the fifth contract the company won for the year, bringing the value of contracts in hand to RM426mil. Kerjaya executive chairman Datuk Tee Eng Ho said in a statement that the latest contract showed that the company has the capabilities to undertake more jobs of this nature. The company’s order book stood at RM2.6bil as of March this year with net cash position of RM147.08mil. Beijing-based China Communications Construction Co Ltd, listed in Hong Kong, owns China Communications Construction.
