Bina Darulaman launches RM2.6bil GDV worth of developments

KUALA LUMPUR: Two integrated township developments with a combined gross development value (GDV) estimated at RM2.6bil have been launched by Kedah-based developer Bina Darulaman Bhd (BDB).

The concept and lifestyle themed townships, Darulaman Saujana and Darulaman Putra will be located in Jitra and Sungai Petani respectively, and are slated for completion in 10 years.

Darulaman Saujana, with a GDV of RM1bil spans across 203 acres and will comprise a total of 1,500 units of statutory housing, townhouses, link houses and bungalows among others.

In Sungai Petani, Darulaman Putra will be developed on 232 acres with a GDV of RM1.6bil and will house the state’s first Botanical Wetlands Park.

The developments, which will be undertaken via its property arm BDB Land Sdn Bhd, will both be located along the North-South highway and will include universities, shopping malls and hospitals as part of the townships.

“Through these developments, BDB is responsing to a market demand for spaces that offer sociability and a lifestyle element beyond the homes.

“We are shaping Kedah through these integrated developments and building community habitats which are self-sustaining and offer quality lifestyles to buyers,” said BDB group MD Datuk Izham Yusoff at the company’s Hari Raya open house on Thursday.
