Toyota's race-inspired Vios Sports Edition ready for booking

The Vios SE also promises sharper handling with a sports suspension fitted.

KUALA LUMPUR: Toyota's race-inspired Vios Sports Edition with its sharper handling and sports suspension is now open for booking. The price tag is RM85,300 (without insurance).

UMW Toyota Malaysia Sdn Bhd said on Monday the Vios SE, which comes with a five-year warranty with unlimited mileage, has been inspired by the upcoming Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Vios Challenge next month.

The appearance of the Vios Sports Edition is almost similar but can be registered for road use. The sports aerokit with a trunk spoiler and black-painted alloy wheels while bold stripes around the bodywork are similar to race car as well.

“The Vios SE also promises sharper handling with a sports suspension fitted. With this, the car’s centre of gravity is lowered by up to 27mm so it sits lower on the road. This reduces body roll during cornering, enhancing stability,” said UMW Toyota Malaysia.

The Vios SE has exclusive design on the sports fabric seats. The design with the Sports edition emblem is also used for the exclusive carpet mats.

The door sills, illuminated scuff plates with amber illumination provide protection to the bodywork while complementing the sporty image.

Amber illumination is also provided in the front footwells to enhance the sporty feeling while also offering better visibility of the area.
