Trading ideas: Wing Tai, Kerjaya, Fitters, RHB Bank


KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex Research expects Wing Tai, Kerjaya Prospek, Fitters Diversified and RHB Bank to be among the stocks to watch on Wednesday after the barrage of financial results and announcements.

It said Wing Tai has received a takeover offer from its major shareholders, Wing Tai Holdings Ltd and Wing Tai Investment & Development Pte Ltd at RM1.80 a share.

As for Kerjaya Prospek, it bagged a RM77mil contract to build a 24-storey office building in Mutiara Damansara.

Fitters Diversified has bagged a RM97.78mil job to build 338 terrace houses.

As for E&O, CCM, Bintulu Port, Lii Hen, Innoprise Plantations, Ann Joo, Malakoff, UMW, Ta Ann and Notion VTec, they all posted better on-year quarterly financial results. 

Other companies which announced their financial results included IOI Properties, AirAsia X, Pos Malaysia, RHB Bank, Evergreen Fibreboard.

Overnight on Wall Street, US equities advanced on renewed optimism about President Donald Trump's growth policies. 

European markets were also positive after encouraging economic data while the FTSE declined following the terrorist attack in Manchester.
 
At Bursa Malaysia, the FBM KLCI lost 7.78 points to end at 1,767.17. 

“Following the positive performance in the US and Europe, the FBM KLCI could follow suit and climb towards its resistance of 1,785,” it said.
