Ringgit near six-month high, advance capped by April inflation data


PETALING JAYA: The ringgit hit a six-month high against the US dollar, but failed to hold on to its early gains after the Statistics Department revealed that consumer prices in April had remained stubbornly high.

The ringgit was little changed at 4.3235 against the US dollar. The local currency was traded to a six-month high of 4.3125 in early trade.
