SC charges three for insider trading in PacificMas shares


Datuk Kamarudin Meranun has entered into a settlement with the Securities Commission for RM3.64mil over the purchase of 5.55 million Malaysia Airlines Bhd (MAS) shares between Aug 1, 2011 and Aug 5, 2011.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Securities Commission (SC) has charged three individuals for insider trading offences related to the PacificMas Bhd shares between Dec 18 and Dec 31, 2007.

The SC said on Wednesday Ewe Lay Peng, 45, Lim Bun Hwa, 41 and Lim Boon Cheng, 47, were charged under section 188 of the Capital Market and Services Act 2007 (CMSA).
