Uzma to provide fishing equipment to Petronas Carigali

KUALA LUMPUR: Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd has awarded Uzma Bhd’s subsidiary, Uzma Engineering Sdn Bhd (UESB), a contract for the provision of fishing equipment and services.

The contract would run for a duration of two years, starting from February 2017 to February 2019, with an extension option of one year for fishing services across Petronas Carigali’s area of operations.

“This contract award to Uzma has demonstrated our ability to further expand product offerings, in this case, drilling and well services.

“This new fishing product offering complement existing service offerings,” Uzma chief executive officer Datuk Kamarul Redzuan said in a statement on Wednesday.

The contract would also expand Uzma’s range of drilling services to build further competencies and track record, Kamarul added.

Uzma has been providing cost-effective drilling services solutions in the Asia-Pacific region for 20 years, with both exploration and development projects delivered to a range of clients. - Bernama
