Silk Holdings to boost marine logistics business


KUALA LUMPUR: Silk Holdings Bhd intends to utilise more than 50% or about RM200mil of the proceeds from the sale of its unit Sistem Lingkaran-Lebuhraya Kajang Sdn Bhd, the concession holder of Silk Highway, to strengthen its marine logistics business.

“About RM70mil will be allocated for a special dividend of about 10 sen per share and the rest will be set aside as working capital,” its executive chairman Datuk Mohd Azlan Hashim told the press following the company’s EGM yesterday that saw unanimous approval from shareholders on the deal.
