Mega Sun City appoints new managing director


Moody's outlook on the Korean banking system has been negative since May 2016.

KUALA LUMPUR: Project management services company Mega Sun City Holdings Bhd has appointed Datuk Liang Chee Fong as managing director effective immediately.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said Liang, 44, succeeded Datuk Ooi Kee Liang, 46, who resigned due to other personal commitments.

Liang, whose previous position was executive director, has more than 20 years’ experience in local and foreign financial institutions where he held multiple portfolios in commercial banks and equity investment banks. 

Ooi is also executive chairman of property developer Ideal United Bintang Bhd, where he is a substantial shareholder. Ideal United Bintang, which is undergoing an internal reorganisation exercise, did not make any announcement to the stock exchange on Monday.
