Petronas to bid for jobs in Iran


International Brent crude oil futures were trading at $45.92 per barrel at 0119 GMT, up 34 cents, or 0.75 percent, from their previous close.

PETALING JAYA: Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) is among 29 major energy companies from Europe and Asia shorlisted to bid for oil and gas (O&G) projects in Iran.

According to National Iranian Oil’s website, most of the companies on the list were involved in Iran’s O&G industry projects before sanctions were imposed on the country in 2011. They had been lifted last year.
