KUALA LUMPUR: Toll highway operator PLUS Malaysia Bhd has appointed Datuk Azman Ismail (pic) as managing director and chief executive officer effective Jan 1, 2017.

Azman, who has a bachelor of science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, was formerly managing director of Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd and general manager of retail business overseeing Shell’s petroleum retailing in Malaysia and Brunei – two positions he held concurrently.

“Datuk Azman has had a distinguished 30-year career at Shell where he held several key roles including those in operations, retail as well as finance, and recorded numerous achievements. Given his competencies and years of experience, we’re convinced he will continue to steer PLUS in achieving all of its goals and objectives,” said PLUS chairman Tan Sri Mohd Sheriff Mohd Kassim.
