Barakah wins Sabah Shell’s contract worth RM25mil

Shell's Labuan crude oil terminal.

KUALA LUMPUR: Barakah Offshore Petroleum Bhd has bagged a contract worth more than RM25 million from Sabah Shell Petroleum Co Ltd to replace effluent discharge pipeline at the Labuan Crude Oil Terminal (LCOT).

The two-year contract, which took effect in October, was secured via its wholly-owned subsidiary, PBJV Group Sdn Bhd, the group said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Thursday.

The company said the contract would contribute positively towards the group’s earnings and net assets per share during its duration.

The LCOT, operated by Sabah Shell, receives, dehydrates, stores and exports crude from offshore Sabah’s fields which are run by Sabah Shell, Petronas Carigali and Repsol.  - Bernama
