PETALING JAYA: The ball is now in Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd’s (KLK) court to sweeten its offer for MP Evans Group Plc in order to take over the UK-based plantation company that owns and operates oil palm estates in Indonesia and Malaysia.
This followed the revelation that more than half of MP Evans’ shareholders would stand by its board of director’s decision to reject the offer from the Malaysian plantation giant a day after the hostile takeover attempt was announced last Tuesday.
