KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby, Mesiniaga, Westports and Dufu Technology
could see trading interest oon Friday after their corporate announcements, says JF Apex Research.
Sime Darby’s indirect unit Glengowrie Rubber Company Sdn Bhd plans to sell 325.7ha of freehold land in Glengowrie Estate in Hulu Langat, Selangor to Petaling Garden Sdn Bhd for RM428.8mil.
As for Mesiniaga, the research house said the IT services company secured a RM10.42mil IT maintenance and services contract from the Malaysian Investment Development Authority.
Westports says work on its RM1.05bil Container Terminal 8 (CT8) is on track as construction of Phase 1 of the terminal has been completed. Work on Phase 2 has started with the piling for the second 300-metre wharf.
Dufu Technology plans to consolidate two shares of 50 sen each into one share of RM1 to improve its capital structure by the fourth quarter of 2016.

(BHIC) accepted a RM11.2mil contract from the Defence Ministry to supply and deliver spares, and provide maintenance and training for the Malaysian Navy's Bofors 40mm/L70 gun.
Overnight on Wall Street, US stocks closed nearly flat on Thursday as investors looked ahead to a key employment data. Similarly, European stocks finished under pressure, as investors showed signs of caution ahead of the US jobs report on Friday.
At Bursa Malaysia, the FBM KLCI closed up 3.81 points or 0.23% to 1,666.73.
“Following the lacklustre performance in the US and European markets, the FBM KLCI could retrace towards the support level of 1,650,” it said.
