KUALA LUMPUR: Japanese retail giant Isetan is set to open its newly introduced specialty concept store, The Japan Store, to the public on Oct 27.

The brand new concept store, the first in the world, is located in Lot 10 Bukit Bintang.

"As global interest in Japan continues to grow, The Japan Store will introduce Japanese history, culture, technology, diversity and lifestyle designs through a carefully curated selection of brands, products and services," the company said in a statement.

Working in association with the "Cool Japan" programme, launched by Japan's economy, trade and industry ministry, the store aims to deliver Japanese lifestyle and aesthetics to consumers.

The store will have six floors featuring exceptional products from Japan including regional brands, over 200 of which are being introduced in the market for the first time.

Each floor is dedicated to a product category and thematic experience from food to culture, fashion to beauty and technology, namely The Museum, The Studio, The Room, The Cube, The Table and The Market. - Bernama
