Pension fund KWAP seeks higher returns

KUALA LUMPUR: Retirement Fund Inc (KWAP) will set aside more money in riskier investments, including a plan to double its asset allocation in the private equity (PE) space, as the fund seeks higher yields in a low interest rate environment.

The country’s second-biggest pension fund joins other conservative portfolio managers worldwide in embracing bigger risks to bolster its performance.
