Penang airport expected to handle less cargo this year


GEORGE TOWN: The Penang International Airport is expected to handle about 103,000 tonnes of cargo for 2016, compared with 109,422 tonnes a year ago.

Penang Freight Forwarders Association (PFFA) air freight secretary Ali Ahmad told StarBiz that for the first half of 2016, the cargo handled was 50,952 tonnes, compared to 55,069 tonnes in the same period last year.
