Trading ideas: Bina Puri, CMSB, Scomi Eng, VS, ManagePay



KUALA LUMPUR: Bina Puri, Cahya Mata Sarawak (CMSB), Scomi Engineering, VS Industry, Cycle & Carriage Bintang (CCB) and Managepay Systems could see trading interest on Tuesday after their corporate news, says JF Apex Research. 

The Bina Puri and Cahya Mata Sarawak 30:70 JV won a RM1.36bil Pan Borneo Highway job in Sarawak.

Scomi Engineering unit Scomi Transit Projects Sdn Bhd (STP) lawsuit against Prasarana Malaysia Bhd over Prasarana's termination of a contract was dismissed by the High Court.

VS Industry bought a 20% stake in the maker of Diamond water filter NEP Holdings (Malaysia) Bhd for RM60mil cash.

Cycle & Carriage Bintang, the local distributor of Mercedes-Benz marquee, posted a 9.9% on-year drop in net profit in 2QFY16, in line with the 10.5% drop in sales.

ManagePay Systems has received the licence from the central bank  to conduct domestic fund transfer activities among its e-Money users via its MPay Portal and MPay Wallet.

SapuraKencana secured a US$113mil (RM461mil) contract in Mexico.

Overnight on Wall Street, US markets ended lower overnight led by energy counters after oil price fell to a three-month low. Earlier, European stocks were mixed as oil price fell below US$45 a barrel.
 
At Bursa, the FBM KLCI rose 10.84 points to end at 1,668.26. 

“Following the negative performance in the US, the FBM KLCI could decline to day with support at 1,610,” said JF Apex Research.
