Dancomech opens at 80 sen amid weaker market


Foreign funds have continued to be net buyers on Bursa Malaysia on Monday at RM167.64mil.

KUALA LUMPUR: Process control equipment and measurements instruments company Dancomech Holdings Bhd staged a steady debut on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia on Thursday amid a weak broader market.

It opened at 80 sen, which was five sen above the offer price of 75 sen.

At 9.03am, it was trading at 81 sen with 6.50 million shares done.

The FBM KLCI fell 8.62 points or 0.52% to 1,660.99. Turnover was 75.14 million shares valued at RM27.33mil. There were 83 gaiuners, 107 losers and 149 counters unchanged.

Under its listing exercise, Dancomech raised RM18mil. It offered for sale 24 million new shares of 40 sen each at an offer price of 75 sen.

Of the RM18mil, it will use RM6.5mil to buy new offices and stores while RM4.55mil would be used to repay borrowings and RM2.74mil as working capital. 

MIDF Research has placed a fair value of 76 sen to 91 sen per share based on FY17 forecast earnings per share of 7.58 sen.
