MCMC in talks with telcos for new spectrum fee pricing


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is said to be in advanced talks with the country’s four main telcos for the new spectrum fee pricing for the 900 megahertz (MHz) and 1,800MHz bands, according to MIDF Research.

Following industry channel checks, the research house said MCMC was in advanced stages of discussion with Digi.Com Bhd, Maxis Bhd, Celcom Axiata Bhd and U Mobile Sdn Bhd in relation to the fee for the reallocated spectrum.
