Cagamas Holdings appoints two directors


KUALA LUMPUR: Cagamas Holdings Bhd has appointed Shaik Abdul Rasheed Abdul Ghaffour and Wan Hanisah Wan Ibrahim as non-executive directors.

The holding company of national mortgage corporation Cagamas Bhd said in a statement that Shaik Abdul Rasheed is a Bank Negara assistant governor and is responsible for the bank’s monetary and economics sector, which also includes the bank’s international relations and statistical services functions.

He is a member of Bank Negara’s Monetary Policy Committee, the Management Committee, the Reserve Management Committee and the Risk Management Committee.

Prior to that, the University of Malaya graduate, with a bachelor’s degree in Economics (Honours), was on a two-year secondment as the alternate executive director for Malaysia on the executive board of the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC.

Meanwhile, Wan Hanisah has over 30 years of experience at the central bank, where she retired as director in its LINK and regional offices department.

She previously held positions such as director of international department, director of treasury department and director of foreign exchange administrations department. She was also a member of the National Investment Committee of Malaysia.

Wan Hanisah graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Economics (Honours) and master of Economics from University of Malaya.
