Barakah consortium bags RM84.1mil Rapid contract

KUALA LUMPUR: Barakah Offshore Petroleum Bhd’s unit, PBJV Group Sdn Bhd, in consortium with Macfeam Sdn Bhd, has received a letter of award (LoA) from PRPC Utilities and Facilities Sdn Bhd for a contract worth RM84.1mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday, Barakah said the contract entailed the procurement, construction and commissioning of underground pressurised non-metallic piping firewater network for the east side of utilities, interconnecting, offsite facilities in the Petronas Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development project.

The work would be carried out and completed in 20 months from April this year, it said.

“The project is expected to contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets per share of the group for the duration of the contract,” it said. - Bernama
