Bursa Securities cautions investors over Aturmaju

JF Apex Research: "Over a medium to long term outlook, we are cautious on the FBM KLCI performance as it still treads below the 100- and 200-day moving averages at 1,650 and 1,700 points respectively."

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia Securities has advised investors to be cautious and to make an informed decision in the trading of Aturmaju Resources Bhd shares.

The regulator warned on Tuesday it would not hesitate to take appropriate regulatory action to ensure fair and orderly trading of the shares.

Bursa Securities issued the caution following the timber company's replies to its queries about unusual market activity on Feb 23, March 17 and May 19.

“The company in its responses confirmed that it was not aware of any corporate development or explanation that could give rise to the unusual trading activities in its shares,” it said.

Aturmaju hit limit-down last Thursday and extended its losses last Friday but it managed to stage a mild rebound over the past two days.

It closed up 9.5 sen to RM1.09 on Tuesday.
