Aeon allocates RM650m capex


For FY2014, AEON occupied two new malls, opened one new department store and refurbished seven existing department stores at a total cost of about RM670mil.

KUALA LUMPUR: Aeon Co. (M) Bhd is allocating RM650mil of capital expenditures for its financial year 2016.

“It will go towards the opening of our new stores and refurbishments of present ones such as those in Mid Valley,” it’s executive director Poh Ying Loo said.

“We have already spent 250mil after the opening of two new stores. We will open another two next year,” he said.

The company which is the biggest public listed retailer in Malaysia said it will use both internal and external funds for this allocation.
