Analysts remain bullish on CMS despite poor first quarter results

PETALING JAYA: Some analysts have remained optimistic on the outlook of Cahya Mata Sarawak Bhd (CMS) despite the latter’s profit having plunged in its first quarter ended March 31, 2016.

Alliance DBS Research and UOB Kay Hian both maintained their “hold” call on CMS, noting that the latter stands to be one of the largest beneficiaries of the Sarawak portion of the multi-billion Pan Borneo Highway rollout as the supplier of raw materials.
