RAM upgrades Telekom Malaysia’s Menara ABS Sukuk ratings

Fitch forecasts fixed-line revenue to grow by a low-single-digit percentage, driven by Telekom Malaysia's (A-/Stable) deployment of high-speed broadband Phase II and sub-urban broadband projects.

The ratings agency said it upgraded the ratings of the Tranche A3 and Tranche A4 Sukuk under Menara ABS’s RM1bil Sukuk Ijarah programme (2008/2023), from a respective A1 and A2 to AA3.

RAM Ratings said Menara ABS is a trust-owned, special-purpose vehicle incorporated by Telekom Malaysia solely for the Sukuk Ijarah agreement involving Menara TM, Menara Celcom, TM Taman Desa and TM Cyberjaya.
