PETALING JAYA: Stocks on Bursa Malaysia may come under pressure when trading resumes today after an extended weekend amid mounting concerns over policy direction of major central banks, even as developed economies continue to struggle with stuttering growth.

In Japan, stocks came under heavy selling yesterday amid worries that the surging yen would hurt exporters’ earnings. The few Asian markets that were open for trading yesterday suffered declines.
