UK economy loses pace in first quarter


LONDON: The UK economy lost momentum in the first quarter as services had their weakest growth for almost a year and industrial production continued to decline.

Growth slowed to 0.4% from 0.6% in the final three months of 2015, as forecast in a Bloomberg survey of economists.
