Willowglen eyes TNB contracts

KUALA LUMPUR: Willowglen MSC Bhd is eyeing Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) contracts after it had qualified as the latter's contractor.

"This is a new area for us for further business opportunities," the diversified group's managing director Wong Ah Chiew said at a press conference after its AGM on Wednesday.

Wong said that the company can be a substation control automation (SCADA) supplier to TNB.

"We have not secured any contract in this area as of yet and the value is not ascertained. Contracts which are less than RM5mil will not need to be announced to Bursa Malaysia. TNB are the biggest users of SCADA in the country today," Wong said.

"This will be very significant for us if we do get them," he added.
