JAKARTA: Chinese investment in Indonesia jumped five-fold in the first quarter, highlighting the importance of the country to the growth prospects of South-East Asia’s largest economy.
Foreign direct investment from China was US$500mil from January through March, compared with US$100mil a year earlier, according to figures released by the Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board.
