CLIQ main shareholder files judicial review against SC


Datuk Kamarudin Meranun has entered into a settlement with the Securities Commission for RM3.64mil over the purchase of 5.55 million Malaysia Airlines Bhd (MAS) shares between Aug 1, 2011 and Aug 5, 2011.

The special purpose acquisition company said on Monday Best Oracle was applying to the High Court to cancel or retract the SC’s request or decision in relation to Deloitte Corporate Advisory Services Sdn Bhd’s independent technical assessment on the QA.

In the event permission is granted for the judicial review application, CLIQ said it will seek a suspension order under Order 53, Rule 3(5) of the Rules of the High Court 2012 towards the deadline of Jan 22 and the dissolution process of CLIQ on or after April 9, 2016
