LBS Bina proposes to change ML Global’s auditor



KUALA LUMPUR: ML Global Bhd’s largest shareholder, LBS Bina Group Bhd, has proposed the appointment of UHY to replace the retiring auditor CHI-LLTC.

The roof tile maker told Bursa Malaysia that the proposed change of auditors was subject to and conditional on approval being obtained from the shareholders at the upcoming AGM.

LBS Bina became a strategic investor in ML Global in 2014 as part of the latter’s regularisation plan. ML Global’s Practice Note 17 status was uplifted on March 11.

According to Bloomberg data, LBS Bina currently owns 31.95% equity interest in ML Global.
