Block of GDex shares changes hands

PETALING JAYA: Yamato Holdings Co Ltd has bought 53.7 million shares in GD Express Carrier Bhd (GDex) from group CEO and managing director Teong Teck Lean for RM93.4mil to increase its stake to 22.8%, according to a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

Teong is still the largest shareholder with a total stake of 35% but the acquisition by the Japanese company comes after it bought a 9.08% stake last month.
